i need help pickin out insurance for ma car,
what would b the cheapest simpilist insurance?
Im a teen 17yrs

The cheapest is the one you have found yourself after you have checked out about 15 insurers and know which one asked you the least money based on your details.
Comparison sites will simplify this task for you but you’ll still have to check a few. It’s the same as buying a car, the more you research around and look at different cars, the better deal you will get.
I’ve bookmarked this sites to go back to…

http://finance.ebookorama.com/ukusa-selected-resources.php

http://gsx1.com/InsuranceComparison.html

just fill in the form, see what they ask, write it down, see a few more, the more legwork you do the more chances there are you’ll save some money.
Look for more comparison sites in google, too.

If it is an old vehicle then it shouldn’t cost too much. Try getting a quote online. I am paying less than ½ of what I was before.

Go to: http://www.insureme.com/landing.aspx?Refby=615451&Type=auto

Take care,

when buying a car i know you have to have car insurance before you drive up but does that necessarliy means they want know you have it but do they let you drive off the lot first or do you give the dealership the insurance money!!!!!!??????????????/

The dealership offers you insurance when you are purchasing the car. So you will have to give the dealership the insurance money.

Car Insurance?

I am planning to buy a used 1992 Honda Prelude for $2,700.00. How does the insurance work? Does the price of the car that I paid or the retail price, plays as a factor of how much I would have to pay monthly for insurance. What insurance company would be the best for a new driver with her G2 only? Does anybody have an idea of how much it will cost me (approximately monthly) for the insurance? What other fees or cost will I have to pay for?

Insurance cost depends on a LOT of factors, which includes but may NOT be limited to:

* make, model, trim, and year of car
* optional equipment in the car (ABS, traction control, etc.)
* theft deterrent equipment in car (alarm, Lojack, etc.)
* other equipment in car (fire extinguisher, emergency kit, etc.)
* location where it is stored
* mileage driven per month
* where you drive to and from
* your age
* your driving record
* your gender
* your profession / job
* amount of coverage you are buying
* type of coverage your are buying
* and more

You should get quotes from as many companies as possible.

Honda Prelude is considered a 2-door sports coupe, so insurance will be higher than, say a Ford Taurus GL of same year.

Contact a local agent. I personally went with AllState and my agent was quite helpful. Others deal direct with companies like 21st Century, GEICO, Progressive, and so on. It’s all up to you. Just make sure you compare the same coverage across different companies.

I wanted to know does my mom need to add me on her insurance in order for me to drive her car if im not the everyday driver. I will just be using it every so often to go to school and to work. So does she need to add me, how much would it cost, and what incurance companies offer this?

For California, If you reside within the household, most companies require the policy holder to disclose all occupants 14 and over to be either listed as a driver on the policy or specifically EXCLUDED off the policy. If you do not reside within the household and the vehicle is not furnished for your regular or everyday use and your mother has a "permissive use" policy, occasional use drivers outside the household may be covered up to the limits and provisions specified within her policy contract. Do not assume anything. You should not drive her vehicle until you have verified and/or have written confirmation from her insurance company, that you are a covered driver on her policy.
As for the cost, too many factors apply for a "guesstimate" however a qwik call to her insurance company should be able to give you a firm price. Also, many on-line companies are available to give you a rate with minimum info required. Best of luck to you!
